Refusing to Get Old, Cristiano Ronaldo Confirms There Are No Retirement Plans

Portugal national team star, Cristiano Ronaldo, talks about his plans to retire from the world of football. Refusing to get old, Ronaldo emphasized that he has no plans to hang up his boots.

It is known that Ronaldo is no longer young. The footballer nicknamed CR7 is now 38 years old.

Even though he is old, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to prove that he is not finished in the world of football. The former Manchester United player still continues to show his sharpness in processing the round skin. He is even still the mainstay bomber for the Portuguese National Team and his club, Al Nassr.

Ronaldo said it would still be a process, even though the bitterness and sweetness of world football had already been felt. He has achieved various achievements while with his current club and the Portuguese national team.

"The future? Because of what has happened in my life, I don't set goals for myself," said Cristiano Ronaldo, as reported by Tuttomercato, Saturday (14/10/2023).

CR7 - Cristiano Ronaldo's nickname - said that he is currently enjoying his career with the Portuguese national team and Al Nassr. He assesses that his body condition is still quite fit, even though he is 38 years old.

"Now, I think about the present, my body responds and I enjoy it. Whether it's for the club or the national team," explained Ronaldo.

Ronaldo mengatakan saat ini terus berusaha mencetak gol demi gol bersama Timnas Portugal ataupun klub. Pasalnya, dia yakin performanya belum habis saat ini.

"Saya pikir untuk mencetak gol, yang terpenting adalah menikmatinya,” ujar kapten Timnas Portugal itu.

This season, Ronaldo is still successful in scoring many goals. He has recorded 11 goals and also 6 assists from 11 appearances with Al Nassr in various competitions.

With the Portugal national team, Ronaldo has just become the hero of his team's victory against the Slovakia national team on the seventh matchday of Group J of the 2024 European Cup Qualification. He scored two goals which led the Portugal national team to a narrow 3-2 win.
